One of the more controversial, and misunderstood, subjects is the tithe. Is it mandatory? How much should it be? Who receives the tithe? What it is used for?

Obviously, answering such questions would require a great deal of study, but a fundamental truth is that the tithe was the central means of financing the Kingdom of Israel, and it remains the principle means to financing the work of the Kingdom today.

During one of our past conferences, Chalcedon vice-president, Martin Selbrede, noted that his litmus test as to whether the church was truly embracing Christian Reconstruction was when Rushdoony’s book Tithing & Dominion was Chalcedon’s best-seller! There’s a lot of truth to that!

Take just few minutes right as Mark Rushdoony presents a concise definition of the tithe and who receives it.
