Rushdoony on Logos Bible Software

In April, 2010 I saw a prepublication special for Logos Bible software that caught my attention, Rushdoony's Institutes of Biblical Law. I will be honest, at the time I had never heard of Rushdoony. In response to the 2008 election I began diligently studying God's law and how to apply it to society today. Therefore, I was naturally intrigued by the description of Rushdoony's Institutes, and purchased it. I have found his writings to be a great source of teaching and inspiration.

The reason for this discussion is that I would like to encourage others to help push Rushdoony's books through the publication process at Logos. There are three reasons that encourage people to do so.

1. I believe that there are many other people like me who could discover Rushdoon's writings through Logos.

2. Having Rushdoony's works available with Logos will help people to share the message with others.

3. I confess that there is a bit of self-interest in this, but I would really appreciate reading these works myself.

If you believe that it would be helpful to the kingdom of God, and for the history of man to get Rushdoony's writings published on the Logos platform, please sign up for the pre-publication special:

I wish there was some other digital source for getting RJR's material. I have tried, on several occasions, to use Logos software, and have found that my version of it (one of the more expensive ones) bloats my computer, takes much too long to load, and is continually "indexing" content, thus significantly slowing down an otherwise fast-running iMac.

Ok, I confess to being weak. I learned from LOGOS that my Bible Study Library 4.0 program can be installed on both Mac and PC, so I am now donwloading the lastest version on my PC (larger and faster hard drive, and faster processor) to see if it will run better on the PC..AND I PURCHASED THE 3 VOLUMES OF IBL AT A SPECIAL DISCOUNT from Logos, so here we go!

Happy to report that Logos 4.0 Bible Library edition, plus all three Vols of IBL are up and running well on my PC. I'll stay with Accordance on the iMac, as that seems to work best there....but no RJR books from them :(

Logos and accordance are too robust (expensive and cumbersome) for me, but I'm happy to see Rushdoony's work available in another format. I pray Chalcedon continues to explore more formats, e.g. Kindle or ePub. I would love to be able to purchase Rushdoony titles for the Olive Tree Bible Reader platform.

Geistmeister...I totally agree, and would also love to have RJR materials for iPad, Kindle, etc and the Olive Tree software.
