"The less you understand about the life and history of someone, the easier it is to depersonalize them. That has certainly been the case with the life and work of R. J. Rushdoony."

With Rushdoony, critics and even enemies of the faith have created a mythological nemesis—an “architect of Christian theocracy” if you will—who threatens the freedom of all people with his blueprint for a Christian takeover of the state in order to impose the harsh measures of Biblical law upon an unwilling population.

This has never been the case, yet that fabricated narrative continues.

So what is the real story? What are the origins of R. J. Rushdoony’s thought? Where is he from? When did he start Chalcedon? How do we even know about him?

In October of 2015, Chalcedon president, Mark Rushdoony, delivered a heart felt presentation that answers these questions and more at the Bahnsen Conference held at Branch of Hope Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Torrance, California.

Take some time to watch this beautifully filmed video presentation and discover for yourself a personal window into the life, work, and mind of one of the most important Christian thinkers of the 20th century.
