Chalcedon Needs Your Help Today

But Chalcedon is not merely conservative. We are explicitly Christian. We do not believe that the answers to this tragedy - and every other human dilemma - will be solved by conservative ideology. We believe they will be solved by godly faith and obedience to the Word of God, the Bible.

Except for organizations assisting the relatives of those killed in the September 11 attacks, Christian ministries and other charities have suffered significant losses of income over the past month. Chalcedon has been no exception.

But Chalcedon is an exception to other ministries in one main way. There is no one out there like us. And if we are to continue, we need your support today.

In light of the 9-11 attacks, there are plenty of "conservative" publications and web sites weighing in. Some of these are good, others not so good.

But Chalcedon is not merely conservative. We are explicitly Christian. We do not believe that the answers to this tragedy - and every other human dilemma - will be solved by conservative ideology. We believe they will be solved by godly faith and obedience to the Word of God, the Bible.

Upcoming issues of the Chalcedon Report, our monthly magazine, will carry timely articles on the recent tragedy. What is the distinctly Christian response? Scholar of Islamic studies, Dr. Christine Schirrmacher, answers. So do Dr. Samuel Blumenfeld, one of America's foremost Christian commentators; Pastor Steve Schlissel, director of Urban Nations in New York City; and this writer.

But if you want us keep this relevant, hard-hitting commentary coming, you need to keep your donations flowing to us.

If we don't get a large influx soon, we hazard running the largest reduction of annual income in our history. Mark R. Rushdoony, our president, and I are committed to keeping Chalcedon strong and expanding both today and for many years to come.

But we must have your help to do this.

The battle for the hearts, minds and souls of this generation will be won neither by Islamic terrorists nor by American bombers. It will be won by the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God.

Please keep us on the battlefield. The stakes could not be higher.
