EC363: If you do not have a thoroughly Christian and biblical premise, you are going to have a humanistic one. And the American left has been logical. It has usually more and more openly in this century had a humanistic premise. As a result, it has a consistency that conservatism has lacked. Conservatism has been issue oriented rather than faith oriented. It has been against this or that and in time compromised on them because it has had no sound religious premise.
