The Good Life

EC360: I have taken the subject from the title of a book by Loren Baritz written in 1989. The subtitle of The Good Life is The Meaning of Success for the American Middle Class.  The book, in a sense, is a jumping off point. It is a fairly good book and it does call attention to the decline in the character of the American middle class in this century.
